We are in a situation similar to the chaotic beginning of the second half of the 1930s, and it is possible to refer to this as an "epidemic of lawlessness" to borrow the phrase used by then US President Roosevelt.

This is due to the growth of armed conflicts in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, the ongoing anxiety in Southeast Asia (fragile peace), many coups and military tensions in Africa, and other indicators.

That means if another armed conflict breaks out in the Middle East, Asia, or Eastern Europe, it would only be necessary for us to be on the brink of a much vaster global catastrophe.

The world is going insane, and the likelihood that it will come back from this madness is dwindling every day. If the current level of worldwide insanity persists, this will culminate in a catastrophic collision.
